sophias got 2 siblings, an older sister named abigail and a younger brother named felix, but shes closer to felix than abigail bc 1) hes more fun and 2) hes in school to be a doctor and is willing to help her sometimes when superhero-ing goes less than well

2. What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?

it was okay? like her mom was encouraging about anything she wanted to do and she was the one to actually try to help sophia whenever her daydreams started manifesting as illusions but she didnt do a lot to stop her dad whenever he got on the ‘you need to do better’ train.

3. What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?

her dad was always trying to push an intense sibling rivalry onto his kids and up until college he succeeded. but saying stuff like ‘you got an A- on this test? [sibling] got an A+ on theirs, and you can do better than them’ just kinda fostered a lot of bitterness towards him for all of his kids so its not really the best relationship.

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

i dont know about fundamentally but she probably saw something happen on the news and thought ‘... i could do something about that’ and then started superhero-ing. itd probably be when chime came into the picture that she started stepping up her game so that she could like. actually fight physically her powers arent exactly combat oriented.

pocket lint and her trusty kazoo and thats all thatll fit womens pockets are stupid

she grew up pretty well-off and thats why she and her siblings were pushed so hard to succeed and she and felix at least are probably still financially dependent on their dad so? probably not? she trying to break away from that but shes still in law school so its Tough to do that

she goes for practicality and comfort so it really all depends on the weather. she doesnt like crop tops or anything like that tho so definitely not less clothing.

either the first time she confronted chime and was woefully unprepared or the time that she and chime had to work together to fight somebody Worse and it all went to hell both were pretty frightening

probably when shes alone in her room and she can just let her daydreams go and take her wherever her imagination can create (guest starring daydream construct lenore sometimes but that just makes sophia embarrassed even though she knows nobody else is there to see any of it)

shes not bothered if its like bloody nose blood but if its like someone is bleeding out on the sidewalk blood then shes bothered, she doesnt like seeing it in huge amounts, it makes her feel nauseous bc she cant do anything to help that she doesnt know how

names, she cant always recognize someone on their face alone, if she could shed probably be able to figure out who chime is more easily.

shes probably never had to think about it tbh so not really

its kinda ingrained in her since childhood to equate success with happiness so thanks dad

shes not great at talking about important issues, whether its something she feels or something that she thinks the other person might feel. she just kinda tries to laugh it all off and hope it goes away eventually.

probably both. shes probably like ‘yeS i did better than abigail on this thing fuck yeah’ but then also like ‘i placed third in the class on this thing im clearly a failure’ everythings pass/fail and the only acceptable place is the Top

shes quick to blame others if it seems reasonable. like say there was some fire. shed probably think ‘i could have saved more people if i had gone a little faster’ but shes not going to blame herself for the place burning down, thats the fault of the arsonist, u feel?

she likes when people can debate with her and not just agree. like dont get me wrong she loves being right but she likes being able to prove it even more and when someones debating with her it means theyre listening and not just tuning her out and nodding vacantly.

she doesnt like when people have 0 sense of humor like when she does something stupid for laughs (eg: the kazoo) if someones looking at her like shes the dumbest person alive for it then shes gonna get irritated and never want to be around them ever again.

with all her secrets? almost never youll have to kill her first or find out on your own. to be friends? talk to her for 10 minutes and youre friends

if she sees someone acting shifty shes going to suspect them of something even if shes not sure what and keep a closer eye on them. if shes close with that person and is looking at them through the rose-colored lenses (lenore) she might not notice as quickly.

she acts pretty silly and will play games and stuff with them. one time she taught all the younger cousins on her dads side of the family to play the kazoo. she told felix she felt like the pied piper of kazoos as they all paraded around the family reunion annoying the shit out of e v e r y o n e

shes in her room. the door is closed, the only light comes from two nightlights on opposite sides of the room. shes under all of her blankets in the comfy pjs and her pillow is delightfully cool. she lets her mind wander from all the tests papers and responsibilities she has and watches a movie of her minds creation play out not in her head but actually in front of her eyes. shes warm, happy, and calm.

shes out as phantasm, just finished a job, and now the press is there. theyre asking so many questions. shes tired and wants to leave but theyre a mob. shes gotta figure out a way to escape without leading someone back home.
